Getting Started

Connecting a domain name

Point your domain to DockSpin. Configure nameservers to activate website access and automated SSL generation.

Navigate to the Domains & DNS section of the portal.
Check the nameservers shown in the portal (currently ns1.dockspin.com and ns2.dockspin.com unless your site uses external DNS).
Log in to your domain registrar and locate nameserver settings.
Replace the registrar's default nameservers with the nameservers shown for your site, or keep external DNS and copy the A/CNAME records from the portal.
Save changes, then wait until the portal DNS check reports the records before issuing SSL.

When connecting a domain, using DockSpin nameservers lets DockSpin manage the zone. You can also keep DNS at your registrar or Cloudflare and copy the A/CNAME records shown in the portal. DNS updates can take time depending on TTL and the registrar. Wait until the portal DNS check passes before requesting SSL. DockSpin does not guarantee a 10–30 minute or 24–48 hour worldwide propagation window.
