Getting Started

Migrating from a legacy hosting panel

Move files and SQL into DockSpin, connect Git, or request managed migration. Take My Site exports the same kinds of artifacts back out.

  1. Export your existing website database as SQL (.sql or .sql.gz).
  2. Create a zip or tar archive of your public HTML directory from the previous host.
  3. In the DockSpin portal, create a site, then upload files via the file manager or SFTP.
  4. Import the SQL dump from the database tab and update connection strings to the new host shown there.
  5. For complex cutovers, request managed migration from the public contact form. There is no automated restoration utility that finishes a move in three clicks.

DockSpin accepts standard files and SQL. There is no proprietary website-builder format. After you are live, Take My Site can export files, SQL, DNS, cron, and env.example. Managed migration is available on request — it is not a self-serve $49 checkout add-on.
