- Open SSH & SFTP access in the customer portal.
- Click Create user, choose the site, and set a username and password (8+ characters).
- Copy the host and port from Connection details — SFTP uses port 22 on ssh.dockspin.com.
- In your SFTP client, connect with the username and password you created.
- Upload or edit files only inside the jailed home directory shown for that user.
DockSpin provisions jailed SFTP accounts per site so file uploads stay scoped to that site's web root. These are file-transfer users for your account — not root SSH logins on the VPS. Use SFTP mode in clients like FileZilla or Cyberduck; plain FTP is not supported. If writes are blocked, check the quota banner at the top of the SSH page for enforcement status.
